Holism is the concept by which it is appropriate to analyse systems and their properties in integral terms rather than in terms of the individual components that make up the system. Holism simply means that anything you do, consider the whole and not the parts of it. Some examples that will help you for clarity.
Example 1: Human Body
Imagine the human body. Organs: tissues in the body foundation are in the form of organs such as heart, lung, and brain, among others. If you learn each organ in isolation, you will not be in a position to understand how the various organs make the body alive. For example, it is the heart that circulates blood in our body, but it needs lungs to deliver oxygen to that blood and the brain to control it. They like to say that one could understand the functioning of every body only by considering it as an entirety.
An ecosystem, for instance, a forest is made up of trees, animals, soil, and water. For example, trees to give out oxygen and stowage, animals for distributing seeds, and dropped leaves make the ground productive. As mentioned above, similarly, learning only one segment (like trees) will not help you know the dynamics of the big picture, the forest.
In family care, RF behavior as a member is that the action of one family member impacts the other members. In other words, stress could be experienced in any area and may include a child's academic performance by missing school, poor performance, or absenteeism, which in turn may culminate in a parent's stress the next day or a child's siblings’ adjustment problem.
The problem is better understood and dealt with when regarded as a whole and not when focused on just one family member.Example 4: Teamwork:
Think of a sports team. At the same time, it is also important to understand that the team can have exceptionally talented individual performers, but they can lose. That means that in order to win a game, the performers must cooperate. Coordination, planning, and recognizing the part of everyone in the team and the end goal is what makes a team successful.
